What's the documentary about?
Oh Gosh You’re Posh is a short documentary aimed at exposing the continued prejudice against speakers of ‘Queens English’ in the UK.
The film is investigating the lives of young people who are being belittled, bullied and made to feel embarrassed because of their accent and the social stigma that comes with it.
English language experts help to explain where the prejudice comes from and why its victims are so reluctant to stand up with the ultimate goal to find out whether ‘posh’ really is considered ‘the last acceptable form of prejudice.’
